Avant le 17/04/23, concourez à la 4e édition annuelle virtuelle du Mỹ Việt Story Slam dont le thème est « Ba, Mẹ ơi »
Du lundi 27 février 23 au lundi 17 avril 2023, événement virtuel gratuit permettant aux personnes d’origine vietnamienne de raconter leurs histoires ou celles de leurs parents ou proches, sous forme de vidéo de 3 minutes maximum.
Le thème de cette année est « Ba, Mẹ ơi ». Les histoires doivent refléter une expérience de vie réelle, sur soi-même ou quelqu’un d’autre que vous connaissez. Les vidéos peuvent inclure des entrevues menées par le conteur, des photos, des accessoires, de la musique, etc. Elles doivent durer trois minutes ou moins et comporter des sous-titres.
Les résultats de cet événement virtuel seront diffusés en direct sur Facebook mercredi 17 mai 2023 à 7h30 HE (côte Est de l’Amérique du Nord))/ 4h30 PT (heure du Pacifique), soit 13h30 à Paris. Les 5 gagnants présenteront en live leur vidéo.
L’événement est organisé chaque année par VBP (Vietnamese boat people).

VAALA: Vietnamese American Arts and Letters Association is a nonprofit organization that has collaborated with diverse community partners to organize numerous cultural events to connect and enrich communities. These events include the Viet Film Fest and the Children’s Moon Festival Art Contest.
Visual Communications is the first nonprofit organization in the U.S. dedicated to the honest and accurate portrayals of the Asian Pacific American peoples, communities, and heritage through the media arts. VC also hosts the annual Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, which has presented over 5,000 works by AAPI artists.
The Doan Foundation is a nonprofit organization promoting the importance of the arts and their impact on children, the next generation of leaders. Their mission is to create and provide academic scholarships for hopeful students in Southern California who are looking to pursue careers in the arts.
Asian/Pacific/American Institute at NYU is a space for research and public programs, made accessible to faculty, students, and the New York community. The Vietnamese Boat People podcast will be preserved as a special collection by the A/P/A Institute, their FIRST collection focused on stories from the Viet community.
Asian District Cultural Association of Oklahoma City is a nonprofit that promotes and preserves the diverse culture of the Oklahoma City Asian District. They bridge and build community across generations by engaging and empowering the next generation of Asian American Oklahomans.
